Voices in Motion: Noisy Uncles @ Tainan

In southern Taiwan, Tainan city is located at the center of the major industrial districts. The music communities or bands formed by migrants/migrant workers are no stranger to the locals and the music scene continues to thrive. We may observe that migrants often rehearse or jam at some Tainan music studios. At some popular tourist spots, the migrant musicians usually take the local landmark or landscape into their music video production.

This event will introduce the local Southeast Asian music scene around the city of Tainan by the host(Trans/Voices Project)) and musician groups: acoustic duo Firman & Dawer, punk band Southern Riot, and heavy metal band Jubah Hitam, while performing their own music work, they will also tell stories about their bitter and sweet overseas experiences in Taiwan.

*COVID-19 Preventive Measures:
(1) Participants are advised to wear masks during the event.
(2) Participants are required to take temperature when entering the venue. One whose temperature is higher than 37.5 will be refused to enter.

Kota Tainan berlokasi di pusat dari berbagai kawasan industri besar di bagian selatan Taiwan. Budaya musik band di Tainan tidak asing di antara kaum imigran ataupun pekerja migran dan kegiatan musiknya terus berkembang. Kita sering dapat saksikan band-band imigran dan pekerja migran berlatih atau jamming bareng di beberapa studio musik terkenal di kota Tainan. Kita juga sering dapat melihat para musisi membuat video clip di tempat-tempat wisata populer di kota ini. Acara ini akan memperkenalkan skena musik Asia Tenggara di sekitar kota Tainan, dan tiga grup tamu akan menampilkan karya lagu sendiri, sambil bercerita tentang perjuangan permusikannya di perantauan
